Reconditioned - Another one of those arguments you get into with people about a word. He mentioned something about Reconditioning car parts, and to me that sounds strange, naturally I think of "Referbishing". So with this, I stated they were wrong, as did others, but apparently reconditioning is the act of repairing cars or machinery. Who new.

reconditioning would be making in new condition - same - like maybe polishing your floorboards and putting a new coat of paint on the wall but in the same shake.
ReplyDeleterefurbishing - is making it different - so new curtains, carpet, new shade of paint - different.
